Kevin Terraciano is a professor of history specializing in colonial Latin American history. Terraciano is director of the UCLA Latin American Institute. He is an expert on the indigenous cultures and languages of Mexico and his research focuses on the history of indigenous peoples in Mexico based on Mixtec-language texts, pictorial writings and Spanish-language documents.
