Professor Stefano Soatto has been appointed a 2013 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers fellow for his contributions to dynamic visual processes. Soatto heads up the computer science department's Vision Lab, which has ties to the UCLA departments of mathematics, statistics and neuroscience, as well as to research groups at other major universities.
