Donatello Telesca, assistant professor of public health and biostatistics at UCLA, has received the Hellman Fellowship, a financial award given to help promising assistant professors further their research and creative endeavors. His research is mainly focused on dependent data and nonparametrics.
Specific areas of interest include: decision theory, MCMC computation, functional data analysis and statistical methods in bioinformatics and nanoinformatics.
