Judea Pearl, emeritus professor of computer science in the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, is being awarded an honorary doctor of letters degree from Texas A&M University.
With the approval of the board of regents of the university system, Pearl is being recognized for his distinguished career as an internationally noted educator and his "sustained scholarly activity in artificial intelligence, human reasoning and philosophy of science."
