Dr. Patricia A. Ganz, distinguished university professor at the Fielding School of Public Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine and director of cancer prevention and control research at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, has received the European Institute of Oncology Breast Cancer Therapy Award.
Ganz was presented with the award on June 20 in Milan, Italy, at the 15th Milan Breast Cancer Conference. She was honored, according to organizers, "for her extraordinary dedication through care and research to the quality of life of patients with breast cancer and of survivors, and for focusing on the impact of the disease and its treatments on the Woman and her family."
