UCLA Anderson School of Management graduate and longtime supporter Hans Hufschmid has donated $3 million to establish the Hans Hufschmid Chair in Management. The gift will set up an endowed fund to help provide ongoing support for the research and teaching efforts of an Anderson faculty member who specializes in finance, entrepreneurial behavior, strategic leadership, IT operations or global markets.

“Our faculty are the cornerstone for the thought leadership that emanates from Anderson, whether in the classroom or through research that has impact,"said Dean Judy Olian. "Hans’ generous gift helps further that work and ensures that luminary faculty will be attracted to, and retained at, the school. We’re especially grateful to Hans and his family for their generous gift.”

“The financial training I received at UCLA Anderson and my experiences there were pivotal in shaping my professional career,” said Hufschmid. “It’s gratifying to be able to give back, and to know that this gift will help the school for generations to come.”

Hufschmid is a co-founder of GlobeOp Financial Services, a leading fund administrator providing the world’s most comprehensive array of financial technology products and services under a public, independent, single platform.
