John V. Richardson, Jr., professor emeritus of information studies and expert on library and information economies in developing countries, has been recognized with a Literati Network Award for Excellence by Emerald Insight. The publisher has recognized Richardson for his contributions as a reviewer of manuscripts for Reference Services Review.
Richardson is the first American to have a book published in Turkmenistan. In September, he will be visiting Turkmenistan, courtesy of its government, and working on eLibrary issues and the third edition of an English-Russian-Turkmen dictionary of information terminology.
