Juliana Gondek, music professor and chair of the UCLA Department of Music's voice division, will perform Aug. 18 at the Martin Luther King Jr. 50th anniversary concert, “Symphony of Brotherhood,” honoring Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights era.
Gondek enjoys an international reputation as a pedagogue, master teacher and adjudicator. She has served on the voice faculty at UCLA since 1997 and on the faculty of the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival as co-artistic director since 2006.
Gondek has performed with more than 120 of the top symphony orchestras and opera companies throughout North America, Europe and Asia in collaboration with such legendary musicians as Aaron Copland, Herbert von Karajan and Leonard Bernstein.
