Computer science professor Rafail Ostrovsky has been selected as a 2013 Fellow by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) in recognition of his technical and professional contributions to cryptologic research. Ostrovsky, director of the Center for Information and Computation Security at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, conducts research in the theory of computation, including cryptography, network algorithms, and search and classification of large-scale, high-dimensional data.
The IACR is a nonprofit scientific organization whose purpose is to further research in cryptology and related fields that are devoted to the science and practice of designing computation and communication systems which are secure in the presence of adversaries.
