Professor Chrisi Karvonides, who teaches costume design in the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and four TFT alums will be part of the world premiere of Frank Zappa’s surrealistic "200 Motels" at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
 
Karvonides has envisioned the evening’s wardrobe, which she describes as "an eclectic mix of ’70s and contemporary couture with a rock and roll twist." The four alumni who are involved are Sheila Vand, who will perform, James Darrah, who will direct, Cameron Mock. who will be doing projection and lighting design, and Emily MacDonald, the scenic designer.
 
The performance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale and Los Angeles Philharmonic will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, the 10th anniversary of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
