Two UCLA faculty members in the School of Theater, Film and Television have credits on the zombie movie, "Warm Bodies," which opened at No. 1 at the box office after its Feb. 1 release and grossed $20.3 million on the weekend of the Super Bowl, typically a slow time for movie-going. Those earnings rank seventh all-time among Super Bowl openings, according to the website, Box Office Mojo.

Nancy Richardson, professor of film and television, edited the film, which was produced by David Hoberman, a visiting assistant professor in the Producers Program. So far, the movie, about an unusual zombie who forms a special relationship with a woman in their struggle for survival, has grossed $37.3 million.
