Graphene supercapacitor

A graphene supercapacitor in the form of a DVD stores up to a 1,000 times more efficient than standard batteries. Developed by a reserach team led by Professor Richard Kaner, faculty member with joint appointments in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in UCLA’s College of Letters and Science and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UCLA's Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. Kaner is also a member of the California NanoScience Institute at UCLA.
