Calvin Lapidus was the first patient to undergo clinical exome sequencing at UCLA's Clinical Genomics Center in 2012 when doctors were baffled by his mysterious symptoms. He was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder.
