Samai transferred to UCLA from community college in 2015. As a high school student she struggled personally and academically before turning her life around. Here at UCLA, she is social media chair for the Black Bruin Transfer Success program, an office assistant in her residence hall and a peer learning facilitator at the UCLA Writing Center.
