Southwestern Pond Turtle

This Southwestern Pond turtle suffered from an accumulation and encrusting of alkaline and other minerals as a result of the ongoing drought. The drought has not only lowered the water level in Lake Elizabeth, but it has caused elevated levels of salinity and particulates in the water.
