Campus faculty, staff, students and alumni came to Wilson Plaza to salute current military service members and veterans Friday, Nov. 8, after a weeklong series of events to honor their service, increase public understanding and appreciation for the challenges they face, and heighten awareness of the opportunities available to them on campus. Among the speakers at Friday's ceremony were two UCLA alumni — a World War II veteran and an officer with the California Army National Guard who is also a law student at UCLA.
