The UCLA Anderson School of Management will host the 2013 Entrepreneur Association Conference on May 10 to bring together MBA students, alumni, faculty and regional entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the latest developments in entrepreneurship and emerging business trends.
"We have many promising entrepreneurs at UCLA Anderson, and the EA Conference gives them the opportunity to network with and learn from leading industry innovators," said Al Osborne, senior associate dean of UCLA Anderson. "The event doesn’t just highlight current trends in entrepreneurship such as accelerators, or new approaches to financing such as crowdfunding, but more importantly, zeroes in on the skills tomorrow’s entrepreneurs will need to succeed."
The event will feature panel discussions focusing on issues including e-commerce and retail, mobile advertising, gaming, big data and cloud computing, social impact consulting and restaurateurs, among others. In addition to the attending the panels, aspiring entrepreneurs also will have the chance to compete for $9,750 in total prizes by making the best 90-second business pitches to a panel of investors.
The EA Conference is sponsored by the Entrepreneur Association and the Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. For more information or to view the complete schedule, visit www.eaconference.org.
