UCLA will play host to "Big River and Beyond" at Schoenberg Hall on Saturday, Feb. 1, 9:15-11:30 a.m. Cast members of the Broadway revival of "Big River," with help from UCLA students and faculty, will perform selected numbers from the Tony Award-winning musical. The cast and crew will also discuss the process of bringing the musical, which is performed using both sign language and vocals by deaf and hearing cast members, to the stage, as well as the future of such endeavors.

Presented by the Department of Musicology at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and the Deaf West Theater in Los Angeles, and co-sponsored by UCLA’s Department of Disability Studies, the School of the Arts and Architecture, and the Division of Humanities.
