Are you a UCLA employee interested in sending your child to a great neighborhood school close to campus? Then apply for the 2013-14 school year in UCLA's Together In Education In Neighborhood Schools (TIE-INS) program by the March 1 deadline. All UCLA academic appointees and career, non-probationary staff at any classification level are eligible.

Now in its sixth year, TIE-INS was developed at Chancellor Gene Block's behest by the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies (GSE&IS) to enable children of UCLA employees to attend four public schools close to campus: Nora Sterry Elementary School, Brockton Avenue Elementary School, Emerson Middle School and University High School. UCLA, with guidance from the schools’ leaders, provides assistance and enrichment in support of high achievement for all students in these schools.

Onsite tours and information sessions are offered at the participating schools, starting Jan. 29. Visit the TIE-INS website for the schedule as well as for detailed school information, FAQs and an online application. If you need access to a computer or the Internet to complete an application, computers are available at Center X in GSE&IS, Housing & Hospitality Services, General Services and Campus Human Resources, Suite 200, Wilshire Center.
