With big changes coming to UC’s 2014 health benefits that will affect nearly a third of employees systemwide, it’s more important than ever to have the information you need to make smart choices during Open Enrollment, Oct. 28-Nov. 26.

Learn about UC health benefit changes and your options at any of four town halls sponsored by Campus Human Resources, UC Health System Human Resources and UCLA Staff Assembly. In addition, Staff Assembly will host two Learn-at-Lunch presentations. 
 
Each town hall will be a 90-minute presentation followed by a Q&A with HR benefits representatives from the UC Office of the President, who will explain in detail about the 2014 health benefits, which will include two new medical plans: Blue Shield Health Savings Plan and UC Care.

The Anthem Blue Cross PPO and PLUS, Anthem Lumenos with HRA and Health Net Full HMO will be discontinued.

Kaiser Permanente, Health Net Blue and Gold, and the Core Plan administered by Blue Shield will still be available.

Staff Assembly's one-hour Learn-at-Lunch presentations will be made by Camille Carr, benefits counselor with UCLA CHR.
 
Considerable interest in all of these events is anticipated, so be sure to RVSP to the event of your choice. For those who cannot attend, the town halls will be archived on the Staff Assembly website.
