On Sunday, New York Senator and UCLA Law alumna Kirsten Gillibrand shared details about her personal journey in public service with fellow law school alumnae at the Chancellor's Residence at an event marking the official launch of a law school initiative aimed at empowering and supporting the school's women graduates. The initiative, UCLA Law Women LEAD, will address specific challenges facing UCLA Law alumnae throughout their careers and offer programming and networking opportunities to support women from their first year in law school to the most senior levels of their career. Sen. Gillibrand participated in a Q&A with UCLA Law Dean Rachel F. Moran and discussed her new book, "Off the Sidelines: Raise Your Voice, Change the World."
