"Cutie and the Boxer," which won the Best Director Award for Zachary Heinzerling at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is coming to UCLA’s Billy Wilder Theater Aug. 11 as part of the Sundance Institute’s inaugural NEXT WEEKEND. The screening, which will be followed by a Q&A with Heinzerling, is a collaboration between the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and Sundance. "Cutie and the Boxer" explores the chaotic 40-year marriage of renowned "boxing" painter Ushio Shinohara and his artist wife, Noriko. NEXT WEEKEND is a four-day event celebrating independent films featuring screenings, panels and workshops. The Billy Wilder Theater is located in the UCLA Hammer Museum. Tickets are available here.
