On Sept. 30, 1984, the UCLA Alumni Association gave campus one of its most iconic landmarks, “The Bruin” statue on Bruin Plaza.

From Hong Kong to Kyrgyzstan, New York to Seattle, and dozens of locations across Los Angeles, there were more than 100 sites in honor of UCLA’s Centennial.

They will be recognized at the association’s Fiesta de Inspiración Scholarship and Alumni Awards Gala on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Scheduled to speak on the mainstage are UCLA alumni George Takei, Ray Garcia and Natasha Case.

UCLA students, staff, faculty, alumni and also community members have until Sept. 26 to sign up to participate.
